Welcome to TRUECORD Firewood!
When it's cold outside... no one wants to be cold inside. However, paying for electric (or similar) heat is just too dang expensive and relies on complex systems with many potential points of failure. Those with wood stoves understand the benefits of burning wood during the winter months. They're also familiar with the assurance and peace of mind that comes from having a stock of dry, ready-to-burn firewood on hand at all times. We want our kids to feel that same peace that comes from being prepared and a little more independent than most choose to be. We want to help you and them sleep when the wind blows.
So, don't be surprised when some little britches show up to deliver your "wood storage". They enjoy meeting new folks, and are pleased to help others along their way, as well.
TOPWhy Our "Cord" of Wood is Just Better.
To be precise (and, why not?)... a cord is 128 cubic feet of wood. Um... that's wood, not wood and air. What good is measuring the dimensions of your pile when it's full of gaps and holes?! You don't spend money this way on other products, do you? If you bought "a yard" of concrete wouldn't you expect it to contain 27 cubic feet? If you typically purchase traditional split rounds of firewood, how are you to know for certain you will receive a "cord" of wood when they dump it in a pile on your back porch? How do you know they didn't measure it loosely stacked? Who benefits from this method of measuring? Let's be honest, it's not the buyer.
That's why we decided we would do things a little different. Instead, we chose to give our customers exactly what they paid for (if not a little more). Just because the firewood industry has challenges thinking outside the box, doesn't mean we (you and us) can't think more about how much can fit inside a box. The result? A true, complete, accurate box (or pallets, if you will) of bark-free and pre-stacked solid wood. Now, that sounds like a good start to getting "More Burn for Your Buck", doesn't it? Who benefits the most from this method of measuring? Well, YOU do! And you'll be surprised at just how much wood an actual solid and
Sure, it may not be the prettiest wood. But, when did staying warm when it's cold outside have anything to do with a beauty contest? Of course, you can still sit comfortably next to your wood stove, in your turtle neck or slippers, if you want to. Go ahead; your stove won't care - it will happily keep you warm this next winter with whatever you put in it. With

TOPFrequently Asked Questions
Q. What kind of wood is
A. A mixture of Pine, Douglas Fir and occasional hardwood. As for size/dimensions, the majority of pieces are 2" x 4", cut to a maximum length of around 15", perfect for fitting in most wood stoves or fire places.
Q. Where does the wood you sell come from?
A. It is repurposed pallet wood, from the middle of pallets (the 2x4 parts). In other words, if pallets were Oreos, then our wood would be the sweet cream filling!
Q. So, why should I buy wood from you? Couldn't I just go get some old pallets to burn?
A. Certainly! But, you'll need a truck and trailer, a good saw, and then plenty of time to cut the pieces into a usable size for your stove, and then stack them neatly where you want them. Have at it! But, if that sounds like too much trouble, then just call us. We've devised a simple way to deliver pre-cut, wrapped pallets of solid wood without you lifting a finger. And... it will save you money over traditional split-round firewood.
Q. I prefer the look and feel of split firewood, so would rather pay more for it.
A. Uh, okay. That's not really a question, but to each his own. All wood burns and provides comfortable heat. Wood is wood in our book. ;-)
Q. Your price is awesome for a solid cord of wood. Why doesn't everyone get their wood from you?
A. Well, that's a fair and good question. The wood pieces contain a few small nails each (typically 4 to 7) from when it was used in a pallet. This doesn't effect how efficient the wood burns, the amount of heat released when it does, or create any difficulty in handling it. But, some folks may not want nails in what little ash is left. Or, maybe they just like taking out more ash from burning lots of bark (?). Who knows. Your guess is as good as ours. However, those folks are more than welcome to burn through money however they want to.
Q. I don't mind nails in the ashes - I'd rather save hundreds each year on heat. But what's the best way to dispose of them?
A. The best way our customers have found is to simply empty the ashes into a metal or tin pail/bucket and wait for them to completely cool (very important). Then, they simply bury them in a hole in their yard. If you don't live rural, however, you could double-bag and knot them in trash bags and place them in your waste bin for pickup. Or, if you have a garden, and prefer to spread the ashes there, the nails can easily be extracted using a strong magnet.
Q. How do I know, for certain, you're giving me a full cord of wood?
A. Easy. The wood we provide is neatly stacked on pallets. We can show you how much wood each contains using a measuring tape and simple math. In inches, the Width x Length x Height, divided by 1,728 will determine how many cubic feet of wood each pallet contains. Since a true cord of wood contains 128 cubic feet of wood (not air), you can know for certain you are being justly dealt with, and are receiving exactly what you paid for, if not more.
Q. I'd like you to deliver my wood, but how do I know how much the delivery cost will be?
A. Quite simple: Either call us, and using your address we'll figure it out with you over the phone. Or, jump on Google Maps (or your favorite mapping application) and look up directions from 1900 County Line Rd., Emmett, ID 83617 to your own address. If it's less than 35 miles, then delivery (per cord, or less) will be $35. If it's more than 35 miles, than it's $1 per mile.
